AFUMC Name Tag Request Form
We are committed to being a welcoming congregation. Name Tags are a great way to welcome guests, create community, and help us get to know one another. Please fill out the information below:
Q. Why do we need name tags?
A. While some of us find it easy to remember names, many of us could use the reminder of a name tag. Wearing name tags will help us learn one another's names, keep us from worrying when we've forgotten someone's name, and help make our community stronger.
Q: Do I have to wear a name tag?
A. No – name tags are encouraged but not mandatory. Asbury First is a large congregation; wearing name tags will help us greet one another by name, welcome visitors to our community, and continue to grow in fellowship with one another. Wearing a name tag will help others be confident of your name, too.
Q. Do I need to be a member to have a name tag?
A. No – anyone who is part of the Asbury First community, member or regular visitor, is encouraged to wear a name tag. Temporary name tags will be available at the Welcome Desk for visitors.
Q. Will there be a place to store name tags at the church?
A. No – your name tag is yours to store, and there will not be a place to store name tags at the church. You might keep your name tag in your car, next to your keys at home, or in your purse or bag.
Q. What if I lose my name tag?
A. We are happy to print a replacement name tag, but ask that you provide a $1 donation to cover the cost of printing. Please resubmit a name tag request form through our website or at the Welcome Desk. Your new name tag will be available for pick-up at the Welcome Desk within two weeks of your request.
Q. Can children request name tags?
A. Of course! Children are encouraged to wear name tags. Names will be printed as they are written on the request form; parents might consider printing only their child's first name on the name tag as a safety precaution.
Q. Are name tags only for Sundays?
A. No – you are encouraged to wear your name tag anytime you are on the Asbury First campus, whether you're here for worship, a mid-week meeting, or to volunteer with one of our outreach ministries.
