Steven Hess was born in Amsterdam, Holland in 1938. Hess’s family was eventually sent to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, and in April 1945, they were liberated from a boxcar train by Russian troops. In 1947, his family immigrated to New York. Hess majored in American History at Columbia College and has given numerous lectures on the Holocaust and his own experiences. All are invited to join us as we listen to first-hand accounts on the eve of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. For more information, contact Rev.
