Sunday School classes run from early September through mid-June, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Preschool Our 4 year olds use curriculum as their attention span dictates. Most of the Sunday School hour for this age group is about socialization andsupervised play -- as it should be for this age group. Our 3 & 4 yearolds use the Hands on Bible curriculum which teaches simple Bible lessons through art, story and object lessons. Grades K-4 We use a Rotation Model Sunday School for children in grades K-4.This program covers one theme for several weeks. Each week the children rotate to a different classroom and a different learning model. One week the lesson may be presented through art, the next music. Games, science, cooking, video, drama and storytelling are also used to get the message across! Children love this program. Bring your children, and they'll want to be here every week! Grades 5 & 6 Our 5th and 6th grade students focus on Christianity in Action. Through service projects throughout the church community, these students exemplify what it means to be good disciples. Lots of great social outings and fellowship are also a big part of the 5/6th gradeSunday School experience Enrichment is offered (for children aged 4 through 2nd grade) during the 11:00 a.m. service, after the Children's Time. Less structured than Sunday School, Enrichment offers a Bible lesson, songs, games, prayer and snack while parents worship inthe sanctuary. Enrichment Opportunities! After the Children's Time in the11:00 a.m. worship service, parents have the option of keeping theirchildren with them during the remainder of the service, or releasing them to participate in one of two children's programs offered until the end of worship. Chidren ages 4 through 2nd Grade will go to Enrichment. During Enrichment, a story or lesson is provided accompanied by a game, craft activity, and a snack. Children in grades 3-6 will attend Bible Beat. This Bible study class helps students explore God's word through games, workbooks and child-friendly texts. Children's Worship Servicesare offered occasionally throughout the year in Fellowship Hall. These services are child-friendly and contain all the elements of a traditional worship service. Families are encouraged to attend. *Summer schedule - child care at 10:00 service only. In addition to these programs, the Music Work Area offers a children's choir, hand bells, and drama for children.
